Norwalk Advisors was founded on a belief that strong billing operations play a critical role in supporting both healthcare providers and the patients they serve.
Founder Maria Gervers built her experience working directly within Durable Medical Equipment billing operations, where she regularly helped resolve complex payer issues, navigate documentation challenges, and support patients and providers through the billing process. Through that work, she developed a deep understanding of how small gaps in intake verification, documentation practices, and claim workflows can create larger challenges for organizations over time.
Maria’s approach to consulting is grounded in the idea that billing operations should do more than process claims—they should support clarity, efficiency, and positive experiences for both patients and healthcare providers. When billing systems function well, organizations are better positioned to focus on their primary mission: delivering care and support to the people who rely on their services.
This perspective led Maria to establish Norwalk Advisors, an independent consulting practice focused on helping Durable Medical Equipment providers strengthen revenue integrity and improve operational workflows through structured audits and practical recommendations.
Outside of her professional work, Maria is deeply committed to supporting her local community. She currently serves as Chair of the Youth Development Committee for her local chapter of Rotary International, where she helps lead initiatives that promote leadership, education, and personal development for young people.
Through Norwalk Advisors, Maria combines operational expertise, a commitment to patient-centered service, and a passion for helping organizations strengthen the systems that support their work.
